Κτηματολόγιο - αντικείμενο

The objective of the area of Cadastre is wider than what is easily understood by the term itself. More particularly within the area of Cadastre stand issues related to:

  • the technical, legal and economical aspects of earth and their correlation
  • the dynamic content of Cadastral Systems, the development principles of such systems and their keeping & updating procedures
  • the potential of evolving a Cadastral system to a Land Information System (LIS) in particular fields with a "payback" aspect
  • focusing on a specific LIS sector related to Real Estate Valuation and its multiple usefullness to fiscal issues, Real Estate exploitation etc.

The ability to use every quantitative or qualitative information related to Real Estate properties, constitutes the infrastructure of every developmental design, turning a Cadastral System to an essential management tool and development lever. The development of LIS on the other hand, produces intensive (repeating) use of information, creates cost amortization and transforms present functions in various sectors, helping totally and partially to the development and rational decision making.

To the above issues within the area of Cadastre, current activity is related to:

  • education, with courses given in graduate and postgraduate levels, master theses and periodical seminars
  • research, with doctoral dissertations, research projects and publications to conferences, magazines etc.
