Out-image Information

The out-image information are data coming from sources other than geographic maps. These data concern relevant information about a region such that:

The idea is to integrate all this information provided by different sources because a geographic entity does not exist in isolation, but has relationships with other geographic entities.

In the analysis of the evolution of a region, different factors may be treated (or weighted) differently according the expert knowledge by means of rules. The weight given by the expert reflects the relative importance of the information over the region to be analysed. Thus the out-image data are concomitant geographic information used to improve the forecasting process.
