LANDSAT Images of "Palni" Area

The experiments are based on a multispectral satellite image provided by the satellite LANDSAT, representing the area of Palni in southern India, on February 9th, 1973, at 9:56 in the morning. The area is a rather uneven and mountainous area.

Our aim is to classify the pixels of this image into 9 classes of vegetation rather similar, and thus difficult to differentiate.
