When sets K₁ and K₂ are strongly in agreement (figure 41), it is very probable that the true value of parameter x is rather in the area of intersection of the distributions of sets K₁ and K₂. However, the agreement is not total. So, to keep a trace of the remaining conflict, even weak, the portion of the distribution of set K₁ which is outside the intersection, is kept, but its importance is strongly limited .
