Belief representation

We use belief functions to model and quantify the credibility assigned to events of which we ignore the probability of occurrence . These functions introduce degrees in reliability assigned to the events.

We present here a simplified form of belief theory, extracted from Smets, Mamdani, Dubois and Prade [Smets et al., 1988] and [Bouchon-Meunier, 1995].
