| It can be shown that NDVI is not linearly related with the actual vegetation cover on the ground. So, twice as high NDVI does not mean twice as much vegetation cover on the ground. Figure 15 shows the theoretical relationship between NDVI and the fraction of vegetation cover on the ground. | |
