Relationship with the simultaneous unmixing
of several single mixed pixels.
|
-
The simultaneous unmixing of sets of mixed pixels treats each pixel as an
individual, assigning it a separate set of proportions. The Bosdogianni et.al.
method treats all pixels in the mixed set as having the same average proportions
and attributes their deviation from the average to intraclass variability.
|
-
The simultaneous unmixing of sets of mixed pixels cannot recover more classes
than bands available. The Bosdogianni et.al. approach can. (See
advantages of the method).
|
-
The simultaneous unmixing of sets of mixed pixels cannot incorporate the
effect of intraclass variability of the pure classes.
